the ocean is one
An arts-based initiative by NaturKulturVen, Merumput Laut/ Seaweed Etcetera, and further organisations forming a network to counteract isolation and despair in situations of ecological loss, opening towards processes of reconnection and repair. In July 11-12, 2025, the network hosted a public program on Ven with contributions from dispersed coastal cultures across the world that are connected by the ocean. The program was hosted in collaboration with the festival "Picknick i Bäckviken" in the harbor of Bäckviken.
